I can only imagine how bad that is.- MUTEC 1G Clock technology and REVIVE re-clocking of the latest generation- Audiophile, asynchronous 2-channel USB interface with ultra low noise audio clock oscillators and galvanic insulation to prevent HF interference- Effective network filtering and low noise- Multi-stage power supply- Regenerates and audibly improves the audio quality of USB audio and DSD/DoP streams as well as connected devices- Offers unique, externally referenced re-clocking- Synchronises with rubidium/cesium atomic clocks or GPS receivers- Works as a flexible digital switch matrix- Audio Format Converter and Master Clock- Converts between USB-PCM audio, USB DSD/DoP audio, AES3 and S/P-DIF as well as AES11 and Word Clock- Ultra-low jitter word clock generation with clock rates up to 1,536.0 kHz- Synchronises with rubidium (10 MHz), cesium (5 MHz) and GPS clock references- Outputs clock signals fail-safe in any state of operation- Update capability via USB interface- Compatible with Apple Macintosh and Windows PC- Built-in international power supply unit- Space saving 9.5" housing- Suitable for rack mounting- Dimensions: 196 x 42 x 156 mm- Weight: 1350 g- Colour: Silver Midi isn't perfect either, but you must be having an awful time trying over Ethernet. It sends a signal from a DAW plugin, out to a box and turns that into Midi Clock for the second machine to chase. Machine I don't know.can it send/receive midi sync do you know? Live can chase both of those, used it today.

Midi Time Code will send a time location in Hours, Minutes, Seconds, Frames etc' but not tempo.

Midi Beat Clock will send Song Position, Tempo, Start, Stop etc'. If so, run a lead between the machines and use that for sync. It has nothing to do with digital sync of audio signals (word clock, spdif, aes) either, so hold off on that aspect just for now.ĭo both macs have an audio interface with inbuilt midi connectors? You can't do that over Ethernet, as far as I'm aware, not properly,

Like one Mac sends it's time location or song position to another that follows along? This is by midi beat clock or midi time code? So you need to synchronise Maschine on Mac1 and Ableton on Mac2? Would this be a good way to sync our devices? Or is there a better (cheaper) way to do this (for free)? Please let us know and god help us!

With this ArtSyncGen could it generator word clock to be sent to both computers? We have heard that external midi clock generators are better than internal ones on computers and we tried several internal ones and had unsatisfactory results.:face palm: Our plan as of now is to get this ArtSyncGen to send spif to one macbook pro with a spdif to usb adaptor and then use the wordclock output to be sent to the other computers saffire 56 interface.

We need our computers to be synced while working within our daws. It's really hard to work like this and is frustrating. (using maschine and ableton live) Using Audio MIDI Setup (we are both on macbook pros) we still encountered slight timing issues between our computers to make things get off, yet when we bounce down our audio, they are in perfect timing. We would like to have two macbook pro's synced to external midi clock because the master slave between our two computers isn't accurate enough over our gigabit ethernet network.
